9 Months Old

*Weight: 21 lbs. 6 oz (70th percentile) I have been following Nick’s weight as compared to my weight at his age with my baby book. We have been very similar until now. I weighed 9 lb 8.5 oz at birth and he weighed 9lb 6.3 oz. At 9 months I only weighed 19 lbs.!! I weighed 21 lbs at 1 year which Nick has already passed! Geez! Big boy! But he is healthy and that is all that matters! *Length: 28 inches (50th percentile) *Head Circumference: 46 cm (75th percentile) *Schedule: 6am-8am-ish: Nurse, 3T Rice Cereal or Oatmeal, Fruit 10:30-12:00-ish: Bottle (5oz-6oz)/Nurse, 3T Rice Cereal, Fruit or Vegetable 2-3pm-ish: Bottle (5oz)/Nurse (Sometimes doesn’t drink this one) 5:00-ish: Nurse, Container of Stage 3 dinner w/meat 7:30-8pm: Nurse *Sleep: 8pm till 6-6:30am *Napping: 2 naps, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, usually about 8:30-9am and 2pm. Nick sleeps between 1-2 hours. Usually in Gramma or Giggi’s arms!! Nick does not like to nap in the crib. *Spitting up: Switching to Prilosec (2.5 mL twice a day), we are going to try this for a month and see if it helps, if not, we are going back to Zantac. I am still hoping that he will grow out of this. In my baby book my mom wrote at 9 months: still spitting up! So hopefully around 1 year we will see this go away. *Cruising: Walking holding on to furniture and standing for a few seconds unassisted. *Clothes: 12 months and some 18 months *Diapers: Size 3 *Still LOVES paci and he can take it out and put it in all on his own. *Teeth: 7 total, 4 on top and 3 on the bottom (3 coming in) *Eczema: Trying a new cream, Tropazone. It is expensive but we are hoping it will do the trick. The doctor assured us that it is creamy rather than greasy like Aquaphor. *Lovies: Nick loves his Snoopy and purple elephant, and his dog named Blue at Gramma’s house *Food: Loves feeding himself, Nick wants everything Mommy and Daddy are eating. Doctor says begin modified table food. Nick likes everything we give him, recently he tried avocado, refried beans, and STRAWBERRIES!! Even though they made such a mess!! *Reading: Loves to be read to. Getting to the point where he likes to try to turn the pages, especially with his board books. *Immunizations: NONE!! YAY!! Mommy was very excited about his! However, at his 12 month appointment he has to have a finger prick and FOUR shots. *Games: Loves playing peek-a-boo, especially with Grandpa and his hat. Daddy even discovered he can play peek-a-boo himself when he was getting his PJs on one night. *Disposition: Nick is a HAPPY baby! Always laughing and smiling! *Mommy’s Milk: I did not pump during the middle of the night for the first time since I had mastitis when Nick was 2 weeks old on April 25, 2012!!! I wish I could say I slept like a baby and didn’t wake up once! Not so much! Maybe I will one day be able to sleep through the night again, when Nick goes off to college. This pump at 1-2am, first provided security that I would not get mastitis again (although I did), then it provided extra milk for his rice cereal. However, anyone that knows me knows just how much I have in the freezer. Now that Nick is 9-months I feel like I can back off the pumping and start to use my freezer stash. I just wanted to make sure we would make it to 1 year with Mommy’s milk!
