Nick's New House: Coming Soon!

Baby appointment Friday went great! Nick is weighing, according to the ultrasound, currently 4lb 11 oz.,right on track for almost 33 weeks. New ultra sound pics will be up soon. Paul is going to have to take them to work to scan then because our scanner is packed. :( We are hoping to meet our little boy in just 7 short weeks!

This weekend for Memorial Day we hung out at the river and got some much needed R& R. We are planning to close on our new house this week and move next weekend. Lots going on please be thinking about us and my sanity as we try to get everything ready in 7 weeks.

Maybe my next post will be in Nick's new house! Hope so!

Nick update- 32 weeks

Tuesday Nick will be 32 weeks! We are going to the doctor on Friday for an ultrasound to hopefully get a better idea of just how BIG he is right now. For those of you that don't know at our last two doctors appointments he was measuring 3 weeks ahead. So we are hoping to get some answers about why he is so big or possibly that he is just going to be a big baby! I was 9lbs. 8.5 oz. Paul was 7lb. 1oz. I think, correct me if I'm wrong Mrs. Rheta, soooo whats your prediction??? What will the ultrasounds Friday say Nick is currently weighing??? Will Nick be big like his Mama or little like his Daddy?
Right now my iphone app says Nick is the size of a jicama, around 3.75 pounds, at 32 weeks, but at 3 weeks ahead he would be 35 weeks size, 5.25 pounds, and the size of a honeydew.
Happy guessing!

5 years of BLISS!!

Friday Paul and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary! We went out to dinner at Marabella's in Washington. It was sooooo good!!! Saturday Paul let me sleep in until 10:30, it was awesome! I know I need to enjoy that now because things will really be different once Nick gets here. Saturday we went canoeing and played around the river, just like last year on the weekend of our anniversary. Boy how things have change in 1 year. Last year we were discussing starting a family and selling/buying/building a house. So much has happened in this past year and we are so blessed to be getting both of those things this summer. Next years anniversary I guess we will be looking for a babysitter! LOL!!

Maternity Pics at 30 weeks

NCCAT

I had the pleasure of attending another NCCAT seminar at Ocracoke the last week in April. I know this blog comes a little late, but it was an awesome experience and I wanted to make sure and blog about it. The name of the seminar was Marshlands of the Outer Banks. We learned a lot about the marshes, polution, and ways we can do our part to help shoreline erosion. We planted marsh grases and participated in an oyster restoration project right off the coast where were staying. If you ever travel to Ocracoke, as you are getting of the Swan Quarter or Cedar Island ferry notice the NCCAT building and the beautiful shoreline that I worked on.

Karen and I planting marsh grasses, she let me dig the holes so I wouldn't have to bend over.
Kayaking in the Ocrocoke harbor with Carla (& Baby Braylee- 26 weeks) and Me (& Nick- 28 weeks).
Oyster restoration project: Karen and I, with the chest waders on you can hardly tell I'm prego! ;)

Awesome trip! NCCAT rocks!
